Need your opinion and help with menu ideas!!?
Meatballs
Mini chicken quesadillas
Shrimp with cocktail and tarter sauce
Spinach dip
Rotel dip
Cheese platter
Fruit platter
Veggie platter
Cheesecake bites
Chocolate covered strawberries
Chocolate Turtles
Plus red velvet groom’s cake and we’re having a cupcake tree instead of a wedding cake.
The wedding is for about 50-75 people on December 26th. The reception will be around 5:00 pm. We’re catering it ourselves, so we don’t have to have too much hot food because that’s just too much to have to do the day of the wedding. However, I feel like that just isn’t enough “real” food. It’s mostly fruits, cheese, and veggie trays… Do you think it’s enough? Or should I add something else? Any ideas on something simple, preferably cold or room temperature that can be made early that morning or the day before?
I just figured it was assumed with finger foods that it’s a buffet.. but yeah, we’re not having a sit down dinner. It will be a buffet
A variety of finger sandwiches.
Maybe add a pasta salad.
