Catering Niagara Falls Ny

A port city of over half a million residents, Hamilton sits in a scenic region and one of the most accessible cities in Canada, a mere one-hour drive from the Niagara Falls U.S./Canada border and an hour-and-fifteen-minute drive from Buffalo, NY. Within an 80 kilometer radius are three international airports: Hamilton’s own John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport, Toronto’s Pearson International Airport and western New York State’s Buffalo-Niagara International Airport. The long stretches of waterfront along Lake Ontario provide visitors with abundant outdoor activities including boating on Lake Ontario in the summer and ice fishing in the winter.

Named after the former Hamilton mayor, Victor K. Copps, Copps Coliseum is a sports and entertainment arena in Hamilton, Ontario. Since 1996 it has been home to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League who have brought over 2 million fans to Copps Coliseum. It is the sister venue of the Hamilton Convention Centre which has a great meeting space and amenities such as in-house catering capable of providing a first-class dining experience for up to 1,400 guests. As one of North America’s most outstanding venues, Copps Coliseum is a great specimen of planning flexibility. The facility is climate controlled year round for comfort and is designed to accommodate a wide variety of events. With a seating for up to 19,000 people, Copps Coliseum has hosted sporting events, tradeshows, film festivals and more in the past. The greatest benefit of its retractable seating is that it allows 87,000 sq. ft. on one level by combining 26,00 sq. ft. arena surface and the 61,000 sq. ft. exhibition hall. On the concourse level, an additional 30,000 sq. ft. is offered. Last year it was reported that Hamilton’s city-owned entertainment venues are getting some upgrades. Copps Coliseum and the Hamilton Convention Centre will receive 1.6 million dollar and 600,000 dollar respectively for renovations to boost the customer experience, which will include a new sound reinforcement system and three thousand replacement seats at Copps Coliseum. HECFI has spent a little more than 2 million dollar between 2005 and 2007 on various capital projects at Copps and Convention Centre and about 1 million dollar on Hamilton Place since 2005.

Copps Coliseum has been home to some of the most memorable moments in Canadian sport history, including Mario Lemieux’s goal, assisted by Wayne Gretzky, to win the 1987 Canada Cup and Steve Larmer’s breakaway goal against the Americans to win the 1991 Canada Cup. The facilities are readily accessible via air, rail, public transit, and major connecting highways which lead directly into the city. Hamilton is also home to a number of bed and breakfast establishments. Whether located in the city or in the rural areas surrounding the city, each bed and breakfast is as unique as the owner. All establishments offer beautiful rooms and home cooked breakfasts. So visitors may stay in the city and get the most out of what it has to offer!
