Gifts: Would you give a loved one something they wanted if you knew it was bad for them?
When a loved one requests an item you know they shouldn’t have for a gift for whatever occasion, do you cater to their request? What I mean is, booze for a person struggling w/ alcohol, food to someone obese, etc. I’m struggling w/ this issue & feel like a “mean” person for not wanting to give in.
No, because they are a loved one and I care more about their health and wellbeing then I do about possibly being looked at as “mean”. I would try to give them something they will still enjoy that won’t do them any harm.
