Internship background check.. resume help!?!?
Hi,
I have been offered and accepted an accounting internship for the spring. They haven’t mentioned anything about doing a background check but I am getting nervous. I have no criminal record. But for my work experience for the past few years I have been helping my cousin get her Catering Business off the ground. She only does it as a part-time thing, and we are lucky if we get like 4 jobs a year. And for every job i’m lucky if I made $150. So needless to say, I have been just getting paid under the table for it. I’m really nervous they are going to be looking into my background and take the internship away because since it’s under the table it wouldn’t show up in a background check. Am I freaking out for nothing?
I’m more nervous that the job won’t show up on the background check, and they’ll think i made it up…
Alright… you should be so lucky. I happen to co-manage a third-party background screening company. When a background check is conducted they do not need proof of taxed income. Furthermore, if you put down your cousin… c’mon!! You know she will give you a positive rec
